Due to the COVID-19 virus, there is a County-wide Shelter-in-Place order which includes the City of Richmond. City of Richmond emergency personnel are working in the City’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to maintain essential services, implement precautionary measures while creating a flexible staged reopening plan sensitive to the Contra Costa Health Officer’s evolving health orders, and provide information to the public and employees.
With the safety of city employees and the Richmond community at the forefront, we are actively working to develop the plans and protocols related to the safe reopening of city worksites and facilities. Please stay tuned for more information as the reopening plan advances.
In the meantime, essential services such as Police, Fire, and Public Works are operational. Many other services may be handled by city staff remotely, so we appreciate your understanding that responses may be somewhat delayed. For information on how to contact staff in a particular department, please visit their web-page.
There are no upcoming events scheduled.
As a reminder of how best to protect yourself and our community members, we continue to follow the guidance of our local public health department, Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS). We must take specific precautionary measures to limit the spread of disease in our community.
